      Print meaning: Hope was once a tribe horse, part of a group of people who journeyed far in search of a better life somewhere. However, the tribe got into trouble a bit into their journey, when a volcano further off erupted. Hope was sent off in search of help, while the others struggled on. Being the fastest horse, Hope ran as fast as he could to the nearest town he remembered, but he was not fast enough. The tribe died in the eruption, and Hope could only watch helplessly, when he could not get back in time with the rescue team to save the others. 

      The handprint was a mark from one of the tribes people, a toddler, who died in the eruption as well. She had been a curious child, and was playing with some berry juice. Some say the 5 fingers represent the 5 pillars of fate, but Hope believes the 5 fingers represent love, family, friends, life, joy, 5 important things the eruption took from her.
